IMAGING PAPERS
IN PROGRESS

Demands on print quality for both analogue and digital photo reproductions are constantly rising. We are well equipped to meet these challenges: the Felix Schoeller Group's highly efficient network enables us to draw on the technological know-how that comes from over 110 years of producing specialty papers. Over 70 engineers, developers and technicians in our research and development department work on developing and optimising successful product strategies. This is where, for example, our photo book paper E-Photo "LUSTRE" was created. It has recently received HP Indigo cetification.

In our Weissenborn and Osnabrück mills, we are able to carry
out our product development under realistic conditions using
pilot machines for paper production, extrusion and coating.
We can test the properties of new raw materials and coatings with
great precision. Trust-based development partnerships with our
customers enable us to develop individual, tailor-made
solutions. A paper is only ready to go into series production when it has
proven itself in all the stages of development and production.

Our own in-house applications laboratory tests the papers'
usability using IAS 1000, a specially developed test system, in
conjunction with visual and physical tests. Image quality, durability and
other physical parameters have to be approved before a paper goes into
production. This enables us to ensure that all our papers meet our high
quality standards and that we will continue to be able to meet our customers demands in terms of quality, ability to deliver and service.
